Exam boards and qualifications covered
The calculator includes Summer/June 2026 data for AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR across a wide range of GCSE, IGCSE, AS and A Level subjects. Pearson International GCSE and International A Level unit/cash-in data is also included where available.
Whole subject vs paper grade
For linear GCSEs and A Levels, your official qualification grade is based on the whole qualification. Individual paper boundaries published by exam boards are usually notional, so the calculator labels them accordingly. They are useful for judging paper performance but are not separate awarded grades.

Is this calculator only for 2026 exam papers?
Yes. This page is specifically for the Summer / June 2026 exam series. Do not use these boundaries for 2025 papers, November resits, January series or any other exam session.
Can I calculate a grade for one individual paper?
Yes where a 2026 component boundary is included. For most linear GCSE and A Level specifications, that result is a notional paper grade rather than an official qualification grade. Your final awarded grade is based on the full qualification.
Why do I need to choose the exact tier or option?
Grade boundaries can differ by Foundation/Higher tier, specification code, optional route and sometimes subject combination. Selecting the exact entry shown on your paper or statement of entry gives the most accurate comparison.
How does Pearson International A Level work?
Individual IAL units use their published unit boundaries, while whole IAS/IAL cash-in results use UMS. The calculator changes the mark type shown so you can distinguish raw marks from UMS totals.
