Download Edexcel IGCSE Business May/June 2026 Papers and Mark Schemes

Looking for Edexcel IGCSE Business May/June 2026 papers and mark schemes? Tyrion Papers has a Summer 2026 collection for 4BS1, with individual question-paper and mark-scheme pairs and standard or regional bundles. Use the papers for timed revision, school mock preparation and practice for later examinations.

Quick answer: Choose Paper 1 and Paper 2 for the standard version, or Paper 1R and Paper 2R for the regional version where appropriate. The full collection lists both versions for wider practice. Check your course and the paper cover before choosing, and keep each question paper with its matching mark scheme.

What is available in the 4BS1 collection?

Option Content
Paper 1 / Paper 1R Investigating Small Businesses — selected QP + matching MS
Paper 2 / Paper 2R Investigating Large Businesses — selected QP + matching MS
Standard bundle Papers 1 + 2, with their mark schemes
R bundle Papers 1R + 2R, with their mark schemes
Full collection Standard and R paper sets, with matching mark schemes

Regional papers are alternative versions, not a different grade or a third required examination. Choose a complete set appropriate to your course. If you use both versions for practice, keep them as separate attempts so the mark scheme never becomes mixed up with a different paper.

Why use May/June 2026 papers now?

The May/June series has finished, so these papers provide recent practice rather than a forecast of an examination still to come. A full attempt tests whether you can recognise the task without being told which topic to revise first. It also gives you evidence about pacing, confidence and where marks are being lost.

For later exams, confirm the current specification matches your course. Keep older papers and topic practice in your plan too. One series cannot sample everything, and these resources do not reveal which questions your school will select for a mock.

Business exam technique: make the case study do some work

A correct business definition is only the starting point. When a question supplies a business situation, connect your answer to that firm’s aims, customers, finances or market. Replace an unsupported claim such as “this will increase profit” with a chain that explains how the decision could affect revenue or costs in the situation given.

For a longer response, choose relevant arguments rather than listing every advantage you know. Explain a consequence, consider a limitation and reach a judgement that answers the question. A conclusion should show what your decision depends on: for example, finance available, customer demand or the business’s priorities.

A useful self-check for a longer answer

Ask whether your answer names the decision, applies a specific case detail and explains a consequence. Then check whether the opposing point genuinely changes the judgement. Generic comments about “good reputation” or “more customers” are weak if you cannot explain why they follow from this particular action.

For calculations, write the relevant formula, substitute values with matching units and interpret the result when asked. Keep arithmetic errors separate from mistakes about the business concept. An accurate figure still needs a relevant explanation if the question asks what it means for the firm.

Turn a paper into three useful revision sessions

  1. Attempt independently: follow the printed instructions and keep answers closed. Note questions where you were unsure without stopping the whole attempt.
  2. Review with the matching scheme: identify what was credited and what was missing. Distinguish knowledge, application, structure and timing errors.
  3. Repair and retest: rewrite a weak section, explain why the change helps and try a different question after a gap.

Keep a brief record: question, skill, lost marks, correction and retest date. The correction should describe a transferable action rather than copy the mark scheme. This makes your next session easier to plan and helps you judge whether the weakness has actually improved.

Use another version or suitable past paper for a later timed attempt. A repeated paper can check consolidation, but a new question is stronger evidence that you can apply the same skill without remembering the answer. Mark schemes support review; they do not automatically provide a separate model-answer or full worked-solution document.
